KATHMANDU, July 13: This week, the price of gold has surged, reaching new heights. Analysts have stated that the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, US indicates a significant drop in inflationary pressure in the month of June, which has impacted the gold market and driven the price of gold to new heights.
Currently, the price of gold per ounce has exceeded 2,400 US dollars.
Gold price rises by Rs 1,600 per tola to set new record
In the Nepali market, the price of gold set a new record on the first day of this week. On Sunday, the price was Rs 145,000 per tola. After fluctuating throughout the week, the price peaked at Rs 146,700 per tola on the last trading day, Friday. This marks an increase of Rs 1,110 from the first trading day.
Similarly, the price of silver in the domestic market also saw an increase. On Sunday, the price was Rs 1,890 per tola, and it rose to Rs 1,900 per tola by Friday, the last trading day of the week.
