Gold price up by 1.250 per tola

KATHMANDU, Aug 16: Hallmark gold was traded at Rs. 55,850 per tola (11.664 gramms) in the Nepali market on Friday, the last day of week.



This price was more than Rs 1,250 as compared to the previous day, Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers´ Association said.



Similarly, the price of worked gold was traded at Rs. 55,500 per tola. Likewise, the price of fine silver went up by Rs. 45 per tola compared to the Thursday´s price and was traded at Rs. 960 per tola, the Association said.[break]



According to Association President Maniratna Shakya, the Nepali market witnessed a sudden rise in the gold price, following its increment in the international market and high value of US dollar here.



The price of gold was US dollar 1,366 per ounce in the international market on Friday. It was US dollar 1,339 on Thursday.
