Gachchhadar, who said he received full support from India´s top leadership including Pranab Mukherjee during his nine-day stay in India, said MRPF-D will take ´interfering decision´ should the three parties remain indecisive about the government leadership.
“We will resolve the confusion as to who should lead the new government by taking support of other Madhes-based parties and small parties,” he said. “We will do this within a few days.”
Gachchhadar argued that there must be a government of broader democratic alliance comprising all non-Maoist parties should the big three parties - UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML -- fail to form a national consensus government.
The decision on the leadership of such new government should be made at consensus of all but the Maoist parties.
He argued that promulgation of new constitution won´t be possible even in the extended term of the CA if the parties continue wrangling for power.
“The three parties should, without any delay , decide on who should head the new government,” he added. “We will support the new government if consensus is forged by respecting the sentiments of Madhesi parties.”
Gachchhadar said he met various ´influential leaders´ in New Delhi. He said the Indian leaders urged him to play instrumental role to end the current political deadlock and accomplish both the tasks of peace process and constitution drafting.
