KATHMANDU, June 12: Leaders from the Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) on Friday pressed Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal to immediately give full shape to the government in a meeting on Friday morning.[break]

Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Gachchhadar along with other MPRF leaders Sharat Singh Bhandari and Jitendra Dev reached the prime minister´s official residence in Baluwatar to discuss cabinet expansion.

"Mainly we told the prime minister that delaying the cabinet expansion gave the wrong message to people and we urged him to immediately give full shape to the cabinet," Dev told Republica.

The prime minister replied that he was quite ready to do so once he had completed talks with Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala and consultations with his party (CPN-UML) leaders.

According to him, MPRF leaders reiterated their claim to have four cabinet and at least three state ministers for their party.

"Maybe we need to hold one or two rounds of talks with the prime minister before finalizing the matter," he said. The prime minister said they had already discussed the number of portfolios to be shared with the MPRF, but not individual candidates.
