KATHMANDU, July 15: Samjhana Sunar, a four-year-old girl of Surkheti, Dodhara Chadani Municipality-4, drowned in the Mahakali River on Wednesday evening.
The body of Samjhana, who drowned in the river while playing with her friends, was recovered by the Armed Police Force personnel.
A team of 10 APF personnel under the command of Krishna Bahadur Bohara from Border Out Post Dodhara Chadani and a separate team of five people under the command of Inspector Bharatraj Giri of Area Police Office Dodhara Chadani were deployed in the search operation.
While searching in the river, the body was found drowned in the river two kilometers away, said Superintendent of Armed Police Birendra Bahadur Air of Armed Police Force Nepal No. 35 Battalion Headquarters in Shaileshwari. A primary health center has been set up at Dodhara Chadani for autopsy.
