KATHMANDU, Sept 28: Gionee has introduced dual-battery Gionee Marathon M5 in the Nepali market. Issuing a statement, the company said the phone comes loaded with 2 batteries with combined capacity of 6,020 mAh.
"We believe the Marathon M5 will eliminate the problem of having to constantly charge a smartphone, which is a hassle for users," the statement added.

Gionee claims that the M5 will provide up to 1,185 hours of standby time and up to 57.5 hours of phone call time; and up to 14 hours of web browsing and watching videos.
The phone also has an extreme power saving mode under which, even at 5 percent battery, users can get 32 hours of standby time and 3 hours of phone call time, according to the statement. The M5 can also charge two other smartphones at the same time via OTG reverse charge.
"The M5 is a dual-SIM (4G+4G) phone with ultra-slim, metallic body and boasts a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED screen. It has 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera," the statement said.
The phone with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory can support extenral memory of up to 128GB. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Amigo 3.1, Gionee's own software based on Android 5.1. The phone is available at Rs 29,999.
