Sapkota registers his candidacy for the speaker post
It may be noted that the meeting of the CPN (MC) parliamentary party held two days ago agreed on the name of Gharti who was elected in the State Assembly election from the East Rukum as a Speaker for Province 5 that comprises 12 districts with its temporary headquarters in Butwal.
The 78-member State Assembly in this province has a majority of the left alliance as 61 members are associated with the alliance. The third party Nepali Congress and other political parties have not yet made preparations to file candidacy for the post. It seems that Gharti's candidacy will be the only candidacy for the post and he will be elected unanimously.
NC lawmaker Bir Bahadur Rana said the party has not decided to send its candidate to vie for the post of a Speaker in Province 5. RSS
