In Nepal, tattoo culture is one of the oldest traditions practiced in Newars, Tharu, Gurungs and Magars communities. In traditional culture, tattoos are mostly used by women. These days tattoos are in fashion among younger generations.
'Tuborg Lalitpur Tattoo Convention 2020' concludes
If you are yearning to get inked or want to hang-out with Nepali tattoo enthusiasts, then 'Tuborg Lalitpur Tattoo Convention 2020' would be a great place for you this weekend that is kicking-off at Nakhipot (Basket Ball court), Lalitpur from March 6 to 7.
Rainbow Zumba and Dance Studio, in Collaboration with JKS Entertainment Pvt. Ltd have organized the event.
According to Event Organizer Poonam Thapa Saru, the main objective of the event is to change the perception of tattoo art in Nepal and also promote the local tattoo artists of Lalitpur. Thapa further said that more than 30 tattoo artists from Lalitpur will participate in the event.
Moreover, the event will also feature live music and distribution of gifts. The highlights of the event will be the live performance by the legendary band 'Sabin Rai & The Pharaoh' and celebrated Nepali vlogger Chetan Raj Karki. Apart from them, the event will also see the live performance of the emerging bands including 'Last Minute', 'Yaman', and 'The Memoria'.
