Gandaki Province sees five more deaths linked with COVID-19

POKHARA, Oct 26: The coronavirus-related death toll in Gandaki Province has climbed to 68 as five more fatalities linked with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) recorded in the past 24 hours.

POKHARA, Oct 26: The coronavirus-related death toll in Gandaki Province has climbed to 68 as five more fatalities linked with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) recorded in the past 24 hours.


According to the Province Health Directorate, Gandaki, a 77-year-old coronavirus patient from Nawalparasi district (Bardaghat Susta East) breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Madhyabindu Hospital on Monday. The directorate said that a 73-year-old man from Gaidakot of the same district died of COVID-19 on Sunday. He passed away while receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

Pokhara saw two more coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday. According to the directorate, a 78-year-old woman from Pokhara Metropolitan City-15 succumbed to COVID-19. She was undergoing treatment at Charak Memorial Hospital. Likewise, a 55-year-old male from Pokhara Metropolitan City-5 died while undergoing treatment at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences on Sunday night.


Similarly, a 50-year-old male from Tanahu district who was earlier diagnosed with COVID-19 died while undergoing treatment at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences on Monday morning.


Meanwhile, Gandaki Province has recorded 252 new cases of coronavirus on Monday. With this latest figure, the coronavirus case tally in Gandki Province has reached 6,711.
