KATHMANDU, July 22: Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey left for China today on a week-long official visit.
According to the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Pandey is leading a five-member delegation to attend a program marking the 70th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic relations.

In his absence, Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, Padma Jeecee Shrestha, has been appointed as the acting chief minister.
Before departure, Chief Minister Pandey was seen off at Pokhara International Airport by provincial ministers and senior government officials. The delegation is scheduled to return to Nepal on July 28.
