It's here! The official trailer of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is out. For the past one month, the channel had been teasing the audience with its teasers and posters and now that the official trailer if finally out, it seems more difficult for the show’s fan to wait till April 14, when the show will air it's first episode. During the red carpet of the Academic Awards 2019, Emilia Clarke was questioned about the show, to which she revealed that the last season has some elements which is going to shock the audiences.

And yet here we are, with around 90 seconds of new footage to obsess over. It’s all awesome, if only because it serves as a reminder of what made Thrones a cultural phenomenon.

So far, the fans saw Sansa (Sophie Turner) ceding Winterfell to Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Arya (Maisie Williams) beholding one of Dany's dragons with abject wonder. The new trailer delivers on all of that and more with its major highlight being Daenerys Targaryen, the dragon-wielding queen who is seen uniting Westeros with her nephew/lover Jon Snow and her two remaining dragons (seen flapping their reptilian wings in the skies over the North).

Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, as well as David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik, will be the directors for season eight. The season’s final six episodes will be written by Benioff, Weiss, Bryan Cogman, and Dave Hill.
