Gagan Thapa appeals as voting is underway: We will have to embark on a new journey from this General Convention

KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Nepali Congress leader and candidate for the party’s General Secretary, Gagan Thapa has urged the party representatives to vote for him and his panel to help embark on a new journey.

Thapa’s appeal through his Facebook post came as the voting process to elect new leadership of the party as a part of the 14th General Convention is currently underway in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

Stating that it was time for all General Convention representatives to decide whether they want transformation of the NC and the kind of leadership in the party they want to see, Thapa said,“Inspired by our party's glorious past, we will embark on a new journey from this General Convention to build a modern and dynamic Congress that will be trusted by future generations."

Thapa has also appealed to all voters to cast votes in favor of his panel to help realize their goal to build ‘prosperous Nepal and respected Nepalis.’
