Gagan Thapa announces candidacy for NC General Secretary

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Gagan Thapa has announced his candidacy for the party’s general secretary on Thursday.

In a program organized in Kathmandu today, he announced to contest for the post of general secretary in the upcoming 14th General Convention.

Thapa had also fielded himself as a candidate for the same post in 13th General Convention of the party. He was, however, defeated by NC General Secretary Dr Shashank Koirala.

The party is organizing its general convention at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu from December 10 to 12.
