KATHMANDU, July 5: The Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (FWEAN) has expanded its reach to Syangja, inaugurating its 76th district branch during a district-level women entrepreneurs’ fair and workshop held in Putalibazar Municipality on Friday.
Speaking at the event, FWEAN President Shobha Gyawali underscored the urgent need for Kosheli Ghars (gift houses) at both local and provincial levels to support the marketing of locally produced goods. “There is a growing need for gift houses to promote local products. The government must also ensure that these centres are monitored and functioning effectively,” she said, adding that all public services should deliver tangible results for citizens.
President Gyawali, who chaired the workshop, highlighted the importance of strengthening women’s entrepreneurship and outlined efforts to implement government policies at the grassroots level. She pointed out that products from Nepal’s rural areas have already featured in international exhibitions, with plans underway to expand this reach. “In the future, we aim to take all goods produced in rural Nepal to the global market,” she said.
