Fulpati brought to Dashain Ghar

GORKHA, Oct 11: Fulpati, an assortment of sacred shrubs that are offered to Goddess Durga were taken inside the Dashain Ghar in Gorkha Kalika Temple having historical and religious importance.



The seventh day of Bada Dashain festival, Fulpati, is being marked with traditional falvour and fanfare in Gorkha every year. [break]



The Fulpati, the procession bearing the Jamara and other items necessary for the Tika, is taken into the Dashain Ghar inside the temple with traditional bands.

There was a huge participation of employees at Gorkha Palace and local revelers while carrying Fulpati to the temple.



Likewise, the Fulpati Puja was also offered at the temple of Bakreswormai in Manakamana.



Meanwhile, the Fulpati was also taken to Hanumandhoka from Gorkha via microbus. However, traditionally, the Fulpati was being carried to Hanumandhoka on foot till few years back.



The Dashain begins in Kathmandu after the Fulpati is carried to Hanumandhoka from Gorkha.
