Born in 1981 in Istanbul, Turkey, Burcu Yilmazis, is an internationally renowned Latin dancer. She will be holding classes in Nepal. Having performed in several festivals in Turkey, America, Georgia, and Armenia, she has toured in many European countries.

On Mondays, from 1730 to 1830 hours, she will be instructing Latin dances, such as cha-cha, rumba, jive, samba, paso doble, salsa, mambo, meringue, and bachata. The classes are not just limited to any specified types.

She will also conduct Latin and Oriental aerobic classes on Thursdays from 8.30 to 9.30 o’clock in the morning, where she will be tutoring balancing required in Latin dancing, eccentric and sensual belly-dancing as well as some rejuvenating free-style dancing.

“As a kid, I was very good at gymnastics. Later, I developed an interest in folk dancing. Eventually in college, I joined a Latin dance club which helped me explore this field. Dancing is my love of life,” said a beaming Burcu.

She further added, “Back home, I teach fulltime and have volunteered to train and teach in many other countries. But this is my first official workshop outside Turkey.”

The dancer plans on adding a bit of flavor to the usual dancing by trying out something new, like fusing local beats with foreign moves. The classes being held will be grouped at four levels, each level compromising three months. Singles and couples are both welcome to join.
