The marriage ceremony was organized in order to please rain god Indra, after rainfall did not take place even after the arrival of monsoon.[break]
Legends go that such a ceremony would please the rain god and help bring rain to resolve the problem of the farmers.
Following the marriage ceremony, the frog couple were carried along with playing of musical instruments and left to the nearby pond.
A feast was also organized for those who took part in the ceremony, farmer of Ganeshpur Keshav Joshi said.
