Explaining more about the project, Gyani Sobha Tuladhar, the principal of the college said, “The classes will provide a learning opportunity for the students as they come across a lot of French terminologies in their course. Along with the classes, AFK will also provide work materials, magazines and arrange visiting lecturers.

“AFK decided to run classes at NCFT so that it can cater its services to the people who live or work in the northern part of Kathmandu,” said Prabin Bikram Rana, the deputy director of AFK.

In November 27 2009, AFK and NCFT had jointly held a screening of a video documentary on French couturier Yves Saint Laurent, which was part of the 10th edition of the “Month of Documentaries” organized by AFK.

Speaking to journalists, Elise Tassin, the director of AFK said, “This is the continuation of the collaboration of AFK with the college.”

Chief Guest Gilles-Henry Garault, the French ambassador said, “This new partnership is a good idea to associate as it’s a win-win situation.”
