BHAKTAPUR, Feb 8: State Minister for Education Dhan Maya BK on Tuesday called for freeing the educational sector from politics.
Speaking at a programme held to mark the establishment anniversary of Teacher Service Commission in Sanothimi, BK warned that unnecessary political intervention in educational sector would darken the future of the country and its citizens.
The State Minister claimed that quality education and production of capable manpower were not possible through the old education policy and that the government needed to change the education policy.
Stating that Education Regulation was in final stages of completion, State Minister BK stressed on making enhancement of education policy the top priority of the forthcoming education system.
At the programme, acting Education Secretary, Surya Prasad Gautam, spoke of the need for making Teacher Service Commission independent. He added that the commission must continue to work impartially and effectively. RSS
