APF seizes four units of modern weapons in Rautahat

KATHMANDU,Nov 19: Armed Police Force (APF) has recovered four units of modern weapons from Rautahat.


DSP Shailendra Thapa, Deputy Spokesperson of the APF said that the Intelligence Bureau recovered a 9mm pistol, three cartridges, 13 cartridges, six magazines and one air gun from a house located in Yamuna Mai Municipality-3 in Rautahat on Sunday afternoon.

Based on special information that weapons were hidden in that house, the Bureau searched the house on Sunday afternoon. Among the seized weapons, two units of pistol are identified as made in the USA and one made in India.


DSP Thapa said that a sim card, a mobile phone, and a citizenship certificate issued in the name of Dashekh Ejaz Ahmed were recovered along with weapons.


According to the APF sources, further operation in the area is currently underway and some people have locked  themselves inside their houses.
