Four people killed, six injured in road accident in Chitwan

KATHMANDU, Nov 8: Four people have died and six others injured in a road accident in Chitwan.


The accident occurred at around 3 AM today when a microbus and a bus collided at a place called 17 Kilo along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section.

The collision between an electric microbus (Ba Pra 06-001 Ja 0298) heading from Muglin to Narayanghat and a bus (Ba Pra 03-001 Kha 2812) traveling from Narayanghat to Muglin resulted in the deaths of three men and one woman.


Raj Bahadur Gurung, 42, from Arughat Rural Municipality-1, Manbu, Gorkha, who was traveling in the microbus, has been confirmed dead. The identities of the other two men and one woman have not yet been established. 


According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, all the deceased were passengers in the microbus.


Four people traveling in the bus were injured. According to Bhesh Raj Rijal, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Chitwan, the condition of two other passengers in the microbus is critical. The injured are being treated at Bharatpur Hospital and Old Medical College in Bharatpur.
