BANKE, Nov 3: Four individuals have been arrested with red panda hide in Banke on Tuesday. Police arrested them from Kohalpur-based New Rapti Guest House at 10:30 this morning.
Subhas Khadka, spokesperson for the District Police Office in Banke, said that the four persons were arrested acting on a tip-off that they were bargaining the price of red panda hide with a team of plainclothes police personnel who had reached the guest house as buyers.
The arrestees have been identified as Lal Bahadur Nepali, Ganesh Nepali, Umesh Bahadur Thapa and Dinesh Karki. The red panda is listed as an endangered species of wildlife.
