Four candidates register their nominations for Bara-2 by-elections

BARA, April 3: Four candidates have registered their nomination  in Bara-2. 

Candidates belonging to the Hamro Nepali Party and Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party and two independents candidates have filed their nomination for the by-election to be held in Bara-2.

Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav is also contesting from this constituency. He is supported by the Nepali Congress, the CPN (Maoist Center), the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party and the Unified Socialist Party of Nepal. 

Shivachandra Kushwaha from Janamat Party, Purushottam Paudel from CPN-UML and Ramesh Kharel from Rastriya Swatantra Party are also preparing to register their nomination for the by-election.

Ram Sahay Yadav, who was recently elected as Vice President, was elected from the JSP in the representative and provincial assembly elections held on November 20. While Yadav was elected with 13,822 votes, his closest rival Shiva Chandra Prasad Kushwaha of the Maoist Center secured 13,468 votes.

After the Maoist center supported Upendra Yadav, Shiva Chandra decided to quit the Maoist Center and become a candidate from the Janamat Party.
