Four Nepalis selected for R15 racing<BR/>Western Union declares winners

KATHMANDU, June 20: Morang Auto Works (MAW), the authorized distributor of Yamaha, has extended Yamaha YZF-R15 Championship, a racing event organized by Yamaha Motor India, to Nepal. [break]



It has shortlisted Sohyal Karki, Ayush Dhaubanjar, Sachin Paul Baidya and Bobby BIkram Singh as winners among Nepali R15 bikers to take part in R15 Season-II Championship in Chennai on June 28.



“MAW will cover all expenses of the winners´ trip to Chennai,” the distributor said in a press release.



MAW invited R15 riders to participate in a workshop at Hyatt following their selections based on riding tests conducted at Vegas City by professional a rider from India, Alisha Abdullah. The shortlisted winners were given a brief counseling on preparations for the championship.



Chennai India Yamaha Motor has been organizing Yamaha YZF-R15 Championship, featuring the newly launched Super Sports YZF-R15, for its customers, as a part of its efforts to promote and strengthen safe biking culture and motor sports.



The event is loaded with true Yamaha racing DNA and provides new YZF- R15 riders a complete racing experience on a race circuit on Irungattukottai Race Track in Chennai, says the release.



Yamaha places special importance on race activities which have always been an important part of Yamaha´s corporate culture and a way of expressing the ´spirit of challenge´ that it values highly. The release notes that Yamaha will be organizing similar races regularly.





Western Union declares winners



KATHMANDU, June 20: Kusum Nembang of Jhapa won a Maruti 800 car under the Western Union´s Barsai Bhari Sundar Upahar lucky draw scheme. Nembang with Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN): 810-402-0473, had received money from Saudi Arabia.



With this final lucky draw, Western Union has announced the end of the scheme. Under the scheme, 12 individuals won color TVs, four won motorcycles and 180 wrist watches, says a press release issued on Saturday. The year-long bumper prize scheme was conducted till April 2009.



A total 465,103 customers of Western Union participated over the year in this scheme taking service from 2,632 agent locations across the country. The winners were chosen from a randomized lucky draw of the MTCN.



Western Union operates through a network of more than 379,000 agent locations in over 200 countries and territories.

KATHMANDU, June 20: John Players, the premium men´s wear brand from Surya Nepal, has opened its sixth and seventh exclusive showrooms at City Center Mall at Kamalpokhari and Maharajgunj on Saturday. Other exclusive branded outlets are located in key points of the capital including Bluebird Mall and Durbar Marg.
