Four killed in tiger attacks in Bara in two months

KATHMANDU, Sept 7: Tiger attacks in Bara district have claimed four lives in the past two months.



The latest incident occurred on Sunday morning inside the Pragatisheel Community Forest in Jitpur Simara-1, where 60-year-old Chewang Lama was mauled to death, according to Ved Prakash Joshi, chief of Area Police Office, Simara. Earlier, three people had been killed in Amlekhgunj.


Lama’s body was found in the forest by locals who had gone to collect fodder and mushrooms, police said.
