KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Former lawmaker, who was convicted in a corruption case by the court, Dol Bahadur (DB) Karki, has been sent to jail on Thursday.
A team of Central Investigation Bureau arrested Karki of Syangja currently living at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, Kalanki, who had been absconding after the verdict of the court. He was then presented at Kathmandu District Court for implementation of the verdict.

Superintendent of Police at the Bureau, Deepak Regmi, said that Karki has been sent to Central Jail, Dillibazaar following the court's order.
The Supreme Court on July 1, 2018, had slapped him fine of Rs 100,000 fine and six months imprisonment.
A corruption case had been filed against Karki at the Special Court on the charge of taking a bribe of Rs 100,000 from Raj Kumar Rai on August 30, 2010, alluring the latter of the job to the post of the police inspector.
