KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Former Kumari, the living goddess, Chanira Bajracharya and mountaineer Lhakpa Sherpa have made it to the list of BBC 100 Women 2016.
The BBC on Monday published the list of '100 Women 2016'.
The BBC said that 21-year-old Bajracharya was included in the list for creating a support network to help Nepal's former living goddesses (certain young girls who are revered by the population until their period comes) transition into ordinary life.
Likewise, Sherpa made it to the list as she became the first Nepali woman to climb and descend Mount Everest successfully in 2000 and climbed the world’s tallest mountain seven times.
