Former Koshi Minister Adhikari accused of human trafficking released

According to SP Nawaraj Adhikari, the Spokesperson of Kathmandu Police Range, the former province minister's release followed a decision by the District Attorney Office, Kathmandu.

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Lila Ballav Adhikari, the former Minister of Koshi Province, was released from police custody on Monday. He had been detained earlier on charges of involvement in human trafficking.


According to SP Nawaraj Adhikari, the Spokesperson of Kathmandu Police Range, the former province minister's release followed a decision by the District Attorney Office, Kathmandu.

He was freed in the presence of his spouse, in accordance with the decision made by the District Attorney's Office, SP Adhikari confirmed.
