Former King Shah set to visit Bhutan next week

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Former King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah is scheduled to leave for Bhutan next week for a private visit.

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: Former King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah is scheduled to leave for Bhutan next week for a private visit.


The former King’s Press Secretary, Dr Phani Raj Pathak, confirmed that the visit will take place privately after the Naurata (Dashain) festival begins.

The visit is expected to last for three to four days, with the former monarch anticipated to return to Nepal before Dashain Tika. Details of his itinerary have not been disclosed.
