KATHMANDU, April 19: Former football captain of Saraswati Youth Nepal, Dipesh Shrestha, 26, has been arrested on the charge of theft with stolen accessories from his room in Kapan.
The team deployed from Metropolitan Police Range, Kapan arrested Shrestha on Wednesday evening along with the stolen goods worth Rs 517,000 including 33 sets mobile phone, 2 sets I-pad, LED TV, camera along with cash NRs 43,500 and IRs 2,000, informed police.
Sajan Kahdka was arrested before Shrestha in the suspicion of theft. Following the information of Shrestha’s involvement in smuggling accessories, police nabbed him.
Saraswati Youth Nepal is noted as ‘A’ division club, the club has participated in A Division match held on 2013-2014. Shrestha was a captain of the team at that time.
