The House of Rajkarnicar Exhibitions and Events is organizing the four-day event to inform general customers and local hospitality business entrepreneurs about domestic and foreign cuisines, beverages and hospitality service providers.[break]
“The event is not only for hospitality entrepreneurs. It is for everyone who are interested in this sector,” Tejendra Shrestha, president of Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN), said.
Exhibitors at the event have displayed products like bakery items, coffee, wine, beer, edible oil, vegetables, dry fruits, chocolates, spices, kitchen accessories and equipments, snacks, organic farm products and honey, among others. Similarly, the event also has stalls of local and international fast food chains and cafes.
Birendra Rajkarnikar, managing director of House of Rajkarnicar Exhibitions and Events, expressed confidence that the event would be instrumental in promoting food, beverage and hospitality business.
Around 125 exhibitors, both local and foreign, are participating in the event. They are optimistic that the event will provide them a forum to promote their products and services.
Anga Raj Bhattarai of Jumla stall expressed happiness at getting the platform to promote products of Jumla. Bhattarai´s stall has been showcasing Jumli Marsi rice, which is produced at the highest altitude of the world, Jumla apples and apple brandy, among others.
Similarly, Deepak Chapagain, manager of Sea Food Service, said his company will display sea foods imported from Thailand, Vietnam and India in the fair.
B K Shrestha, first vice-president of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) and Susan Parker-Burns, deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy appreciated the event. They also requested the organizers to give continuity to the event.
The organizers are expecting more than 60,000 visitors. The event will conclude on Saturday. Meanwhile, Invenio Wine Tasting Workshop was organized on the sidelines of the event on Wednesday. A total of 30 people toasted different varieties of wine at the program which aims to provide information about popular wines available in the world markets, Invenio said in a statement.
