Focus on statute: CMD

KATHMANDU, Nov 29: The Citizens´ Movement for Democracy (CMD) on Sunday urged all political parties to fully concentrate on constitution drafting process.



Issuing a press statement, 75 civil society members urged the parties to leave aside their petty interests as there is only six months left for the drafting of new constitution. They also asked both the government and the Maoists to resolve their differences at the earliest to take the ongoing peace process to a logical end.



Those issuing the joint statement include Daman Nath Dhungana, Dr Birendra Prasad Mishra, Charan Prasain, Dr Kedar Nara Singh KC, Tara Nath Dahal, Prof Rameshwar Upadhyaya and Prof Rajeshwar Acharya.
