Giri breathed his last at Om Hospital while undergoing treatment for liver cancer on Sunday morning.
Giri, 61, who had made distinctive image among the public as a news reader at the state-owned Radio Nepal and Nepal Television, was a programme coordinator and Editor at the Himalaya Television of late.
In the condolence message, the FNJ said the Nepali journalism sector has lost a sincere and experienced media person in the demise of Giri. Nepali journalism sector would never forget his contribution as a journalist, adds the message.
