KATHMANDU, April 19: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) has backed the government decision not to renew any transportation committees, which are registered at district administration offices (DAOs).
Issuing a press statement on Thursday, the FNCCI has supported the government decision and has argued that any form of syndicate and cartels system should be terminated. The organization, which was demanding to scrap the syndicate since long, has welcomed the decision and has argued the syndicate is not relevant in Nepal which has adopted the open market policy.
Likewise, stating that the federation had to approach the court for the termination of the syndicate, it has urged the government to end the syndicate and cartels in the cargo of the goods.
Similarly, the federation has urged the transportation federation to withdraw protest programs announced against the government decision and to help the government in operating the public transport effectively.
