FM Koirala pays courtesy all on his Indian counterpart

KATHMANDU, May 3: Minister for Finance, Industry and Commerce and Supplies Shankar Prasad Koirala on Friday paid a courtesy call on Indian Minister for Finance P Chidambaram in New Delhi.



According to a press statement issued by Nepalese Embassy in New Delhi, Minister Chidambaram congratulated Koirala on his assumption of the office of Nepal´s Finance Minister and wished the government of Nepal all success. [break]



While assuring that India´s cooperation to Nepal would continue in the days to come as well, Minister Chidambaram expressed the hope that elections for the next Constituent Assembly would be held on time, which would help bring about political stability in Nepal.



On the occasion, Finance Minister Koirala thanked Indian government for its continued support. He requested his Indian counterpart for removing countervailing duty on Nepali garment products and make Vishakhapatnam Port available for use by Nepal.
