SAPTARI, July 8: The dam of Chandranahar, a major irrigation canal in the district has been damaged by floods trigged by recent rainfall.
The floods occurred in Mohuli and Sundari Rivers have damaged about 85 meters of the Chandranahar dam causing loss of over 15 million rupees, said Chandranahar Irrigation Division chief Prasun Mishra.
The floods have caused damage to the dam while inundating the canal with sand deposit.
Mishra further shared that they were working to assess the exact details of the loss. RSS
