Flood sweep away seven shops, 15 at high risk

BAITADI, July 16: Seven shops were swept away by flood at Chainpur, the district headquarters of Bajhang, on Friday evening.


The floods on Bauli rivulet swept away seven shops and a suspension bridge, said Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bajhang, Narendra Chand.

He said seven shops including of a local Ram Chandra Singh were swept away by the flood. 

Chand further said that more than 15 shops are still at high risk of flood.


The relations between the district headquarter and villages have been cut off after the flood swept away the bridge linking more than 30 VDCs with the district headquarters, said police. 


No human casualty was reported in the incident. The flood following the incessant rainfall from Friday morning had entered to the market area in the evening. RSS
