Flights resume in Taplejung after three-week disruption

TAPLEJUNG, July 7: Air services have resumed in Taplejung after a three-week halt due to persistent bad weather since June 12.



Nepal Airlines operated its first flight today, carrying four passengers from Kathmandu to Taplejung and returning with five passengers.

According to Narayan Kumar Karki, station in-charge of Nepal Airlines in Taplejung, six scheduled flights had been affected since the start of the monsoon season.


Currently, flights between Kathmandu and Taplejung are scheduled twice a week—on Mondays and Fridays. The one-way airfare from Taplejung to Kathmandu is set at Rs 9,200 per person.
