LAHAN, July 27: Five pilgrims were swept away by Kamala river at Saraswornath, Siraha on Sunday night.
According to police, two bodies of the deceased were found at Chisapani of Dhanusha and others at Siraha near the bridge.
The pilgrims were swept away while trying to collect water from the river to offer to Shiva temple on the third Monday of the month of Shrawan.
Ram Chandra Mahato, 26, and Babita Kumar Sah, 14, of Maistan-3, Ram Babu Mandal, 18, of Khayermara. Two young male bodies are yet to be identified.
