Speaker of HoR, Sapkota reaches the incident site
SINDHUPALCHOWK, Sept 13: The death toll in Sindhupalchowk landslide has reached five and as many as 26 people are still missing.
According to the District Police Office, three dead bodies of individuals from Bir Kharka and two from Bika Tol were retrieved earlier today. Of the five dead bodies, only two have been identified.

A search for the missing and their whereabouts is underway and the details of the total loss is yet to be collected, said Inspector Nawaraj Pandey of Area Police Office, Barabise. “Nineteen individuals from Bir Kahrka, three from Nagpuje and four from Bika Tol are still missing,” he added.
According to the latest information provided by the police, 11 houses have been swept away by the massive landslide that occurred earlier this morning.
According to the chief district officer, Umesh Kumar Dhakal, rescue and search teams of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police force have been mobilized at the incident site.
Meanwhile, speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Sapkota has reached the incident site. Speaker Sapkota was elected from this region to the lower house of parliament. He has directed the local administration to carry out the rescue and search mission at the earliest.
