First phase of 11th census begins

KATHMANDU, May 15: The 11th National Census-2068 began from Sunday with the slogan of “Include all, No Double”.



According to the Central Bureau of Statistic (CBS), the first phase of the census began from May 15 and will last on May 24 while the second phase will start on June 17-27. [break]



Director at the population unit in the CBS Rudra Suwal said a total of 8,500 supervisors and enumerators have been deployed for the census.



Suwal said that records of the maternal mortality rate (MMR) and third gender will be included for the first time in the history of country’s census.



The periodic census is being held in every decade in Nepal after 1968 B.S.
