BIRATNAGAR, Jan 17: Fire has gutted property worth tens of millions of rupees at Traffic chowk in Biratnagar early this morning.
Property worth around four million rupees was destroyed when a readymade shop belonging to Prashanna Baidya of Biratnagar-6 caught fire due to electricity leakage.
Chief at the Ward Police Office, Surendra Sitaula, said that the fire destroyed more than 50 per cent readymade clothes kept in the shop. Fire engines, police personnel and locals doused the fire.
