SIMKOT, April 2: The Khagal village of North Namkha ward-3 in Humla district will slap a fine of Rs 25,000 each on people entering the village without health checkup.
The penalty has been imposed in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus crisis.
The local level aims to save the village from the infection, said ward chair, Chhepal Lama.
People entering the village are bound to be quarantined, he said, adding that strangers are barred entry into the village from Wednesday.
There are 103-bed quarantine facilities in the district. Ten people are quarantined at Simkot and 11 at North Namkha rural municipality, said Chief District Officer Binita Bhattarai.
