PARBAT, Nov 10: The International Parbat Service Society has agreed to financially assist the local government at Jaljala rural municipality in Parbat to construct shelter for those rendered homeless by last July flood and landslide.
Both sides have signed an agreement to this regard. As per the agreement, the society shall provide a lump sum of Rs 900 thousand to the rural municipality build houses for the survivors of natural disasters, according to society chair Puran Giri.
Two dozens of houses were completely destroyed while six houses were massively damaged by disasters at wards 7 and 8 in the rural municipality.
Rural municipality chair Ramkrishna Malla said the local government is getting assistance from lion clubs, other social organizations and individual level as well to provide homes for the affected.
