Finance Minister Paudel vows to provide all support to complete much-awaited Melamchi project

Construction works intensified to complete Melamchi Drinking Water Project as soon as possible, says Water Supply Minister Magar

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that the Ministry of Finance would provide all necessary support to complete the much-awaited Melamchi Water Supply Project. 

Speaking at a meeting between the MoF and the Ministry of Water Supply on Wednesday, he said that his ministry was committed to facilitate and lend all support to complete the mega drinking water project, according to a statement issued by the MoF following the meeting. 

He also underlined the need for coordination between concerned state agencies to make construction works of Melamchi Water Supply Project effective.

Also speaking at the meeting, Water Supply Minister Magar said that the construction works have been intensified to complete the project as soon as possible.   

The Finance Ministry had organized the meeting to review progress of budget implementation and capital expenditures as well as challenges facing the execution of the development projects.
