The Sahara Hospital Pvt Ltd based in Pokhara established the Sahara International Invitro Fertility (IVF) Centre at Parsyang of Pokhara with support from the International Fertility Centre at New Delhi, India.
The newly established centre equipped with modern and high-end technology and an investment of around Rs 20 million will be of great use for childless couples with its facility for bearing test-tube baby.
The hospital took the decision to open up a fertility centre following advice from Dr Rita Bakshi of the International Fertility Centre Delhi which has been successful to deliver babies for childless couples from India and around the globe.
Nepali Congress senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba after inaugurating the launch of the centre said it would be of significant help for childless couples forced to live a stigmatized life in the society. He stressed the government must provide grant to the indigent childless couples to help them acquire affordable service.
Deuba added mothers with immeasurable love for their offspring would benefit the most from the service.
On a different note, the NC leader urged the UCPN (Maoist) led 30-party alliance to shun threat of agitation while warning that the ruling parties would be forced to opt for voting process. He added that if the second Constituent Assembly failed to draft a new constitution it would serve as a lasting discredit to the country before the international arena.
The leader also said the country could not wait for agreement for indefinite period. RSS
