It is believed that Chandra, 36, drowned when he started desperately searching for his son who went missing while swimming in the Chun Mun Butterfly Coast.

The Hong Kong police found Chandra´s dead body Sunday evening. Bibek´s body was recovered only on Monday morning.

“We wonder how the lifeguards could not see them drowning,” said Satya Ghale, of Lamjung Society in Hong Kong. “But, it´s too early to reach a conclusion before we see the police report.”

Chandra, who was employed by ISS company of Hong Kong as a security guard, had gone to Chun Mun with his son to a picnic organized by his colleagues. Though he didn´t know how to swim, he must have jumped into the water after his son went missing in the sea, said Ghale.

Chandra and his son´s dead bodies will be sent to Nepal after postmortem.
