KATHMANDU, June 21: The Sudurpaschim provincial government has declared a public holiday today expressing grief over the demise of Sudurpaschim Provincial Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Prithvi Bahadur Singh on Wednesday.
An emergency meeting of the cabinet today decided to give holiday on Wednesday and fly the national flag at half-mast as tribute to late Singh.

The ill-fated jeep (SU PRA 001 Jha 480) in which Minister Singh was traveling from Dadeldhura to Bajhang met with an accident on the bank of the Kalanga River in Kedarsyun Rural Municipality-1 of Bajhang at 2:30 PM on Tuesday.
Minister Singh breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj-based Hospital later in the evening. Singh's wife Amrita and his sister-in-law Jayadevi also died shortly after the accident.
