KATHMANDU, Oct 8: Former minister and president of Nepal Family Party, Eknath Dhakal, has been bereaved of his mother.

His 82-year-old mother Tanka Kumari Dhakal passed away on Saturday due to asthma and pneumonia-related complications while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Hospital in Bharatpur, said his personal secretary Jitendra Shrestha.

She is survived by seven daughters, two sons and their children. She was cremated as per the Hindu rituals.
