NUWAKOT, Feb 3 : A counterfeit note of Rs. 500 denomination was found in the District Administration Office, Nuwakot. 

The note was collected at the DAO in the form of passport revenue. It was found to be a fake one while the DAO was depositing the day's revenue collection in the local Nepal Bank Limited branch, according to accountant at the DAO Ramji Lamsal. 

The note that was found on Friday carries the number (46) 036860 and also includes the security seal as in a real note. Hence, the note was found to be fake only when it was counted and examined in a machine. RSS
